Help Damien's film get made
An IndieGoGo fundraising campaign has been launched to help pay for the production of a short film from Kilcullen writer Damien Aulsberry's script, writes Brian Byrne.
Eric Lalor and Jason Byrne play Jake and Sean, two down on their luck bank robbers whose day is about to get a whole lot worse.
This dark comedic tale includes Frank O'Sullivan as underworld kingpin Mick Ronan, and his son Gabriel played by Emmet Byrne.
The script is a finalist in the Neo-Noir category of the Film Noir Shorts Competition of the Humphrey Bogart Film Festival in Miami and Key Largo, which runs from 15-22 October.
The same piece took the Best Screenplay award at the recent Wexford Film Festival.
