CPC seeks permission for Special Education Unit
Cross & Passion College has lodged a planning application for a prefabricated building to house a Special Education Unit (SEN), writes Brian Byrne.
The facility will include an SEN classroom with a One to One room, a storeroom and accessible wc/shower room together with two general classrooms, an art room, entrance lobbies, toilet accommodation and two canopies to walkways between the existing school and the new prefabricated building.
The works will also involve the provision of eight additional car parking spaces adjacent to the existing staff car park as well as a temporary construction entrance for the duration of the construction works. This will be located on the R448 Athy/Carlow Road opposite the Health Centre.
The application is under the name of the Le Cheile Trust, c/o of the Board of Management of CPC.
Any submissions on the application must be made by Thursday next 15 June. The file number is 17544.
