Call for NTA to replace Kilcullen bus services

Kildare County Council is to be asked to engage with the National Transport Authority to have bus services from Athy and Kilcullen increased, writes Brian Byrne.

The request will be made by motion from Cllr Ivan Keatley at the next meeting of the Athy Municipal District, on Monday 19 June.

Cllr Keatley says he's making the request in the light of recent reductions in service from private operators.

JJ Kavanagh recently further reduced the number of daily services through Kilcullen and Athy.
