Official launch of Expo 2017
The official launch of Kilcullen Enterprise Town Expo 2017 in the Town Hall last night was well attended, this time including representatives from Ballymore, writes Brian Byrne.
The Expo will be held this year on Saturday 6 May, once again in Scoil Bhride.
Kilcullen Bank of Ireland Manager Jo McMahon outlined the initiative, which last year in Kilcullen showcased some 70 businesses in a total of 110 stands that also included community and social groups from the area.
Speakers who reported on the value of last year’s event included Expo committee member Noel Clare, businessman Martin Murphy, Scoil Bhride Principal Anne Flanagan and three pupils who took part in the BofI sponsored Bizworld schools entrepreneurship initiative, and Eamon O’Toole (right) who is reviving Kilcullen Tennis Club after 20 years.
The owner of Secret Kloset ladies wear shop Shirley Hallion spoke about the current Punchestown Paint the Town Red promotion, which is sponsored by Bank of Ireland, and which has been extended to Kilcullen.
