Lining up for the 'Paint the Town Red' race

The ‘Paint the Town Red’ campaign for Kilcullen’s shopfronts is getting into gear, and this collage shows some of what has already been done, writes Brian Byrne. It’s close to the ‘off’, though, as the photos of entries have to be in by Tuesday.

And it’s not all Kilcullen’s space in the competition. We’re aware that a number of businesses in Ballymore have been hard at work too. Kilcullen and Ballymore have been linked together as an entrant for an €800 prize, and the possibility of an overall winner getting €1,500 worth of prizes.

A bit more red might be in order before we reach the first fence …
