Kilcullen in Bloom launch this week
The Kilcullen in Bloom 2017 programme will be officially launched next Friday 7 April by Tracy Piggott, writes Brian Byrne.
The launch of the Kilcullen Tidy Towns initiative will be in The River Cafe, starting at 7.30pm and local businesses and residents are invited to come along.
It's a new name for what has been the Summer Flowers Project since it was initiated several years ago, at the suggestion of Brian Fallon.
It will also be the first such event in The River Cafe under the ownership of Paul Treacy, who takes over the business this week from Katrina and Noel O'Connell, who established it in 2013.
As part of this year's project there is a Best Garden competition which is open to all residential gardens in Kilcullen.
