Ger Wolfe in the BAG
Ger Wolfe, who plays the BAG on Monday next, has released seven albums of original material over the last 20 years, writes Roy Thompson of the Ballymore Acoustic Gigs.
His latest is entitled ‘I Have Been Loved’ and according to Hot Press is ‘exquisitely performed, arranged and recorded … sublime’. Celebratory, reflective, independent in mind and nature, Ger continues to plough his own way through the Irish musical landscape, heedless of fad or fashion.
True to the craft of songwriting, he tells his own story as only he could, in his own unique voice. Ger is a fine lyricist, poet and composer all rolled into one. He is a highly respected guitarist and singer. Later on this spring Ger will release ‘The Lark of Mayfield’ a compilation celebrating his beautiful work to date.
Remember, Monday, 6 March, Mick Murphy's Bar, Ballymore. Doors open at 8:30pm for 9pm show. Admission €12.
