Reminder — CPC presents 'The 39 Steps' this week
A reminder that this coming week sees the Cross & Passion Transition Year students presentation of the comedy drama based on John Buchan's 'The 39 Steps' and the subsequent Alfred Hitchcock movie, writes Brian Byrne.
The production is directed by Evelyn O'Sullivan and choreographed by Anne O'Connell, and the set was built by a team of students under the direction of Stephen Mann.
The show includes some really excellent dance routines, with more than 100 students involved in the production, and the stunning poster was designed by Dara, Sadhbh, Finn and Jack under the direction of art teacher Emmet Dolan.
"It promises to be a brilliant show," says TY Coordinator Glenda Groome, while director Evelyn O'Sullivan says if there's only one play people will see this year, this should be it. "It's a hilarious comedy by a wonderful cast and crew."
The show is on for three nights, 28, 29, 30 March 2017, at 8pm in the CPC Assembly Hall.
Tickets are €10 each, available from CPC, and they typically sell out very quickly. A €40 donation as a patron gets two tickets, a programme, tickets for the raffle, and credit on the roll of honour in thanks for supporting the show.
