KCA meeting tomorrow night
The first Kilcullen Community Action meeting of 2017 will review the Tidy Towns Plan for the coming year, writes Brian Byrne.
The meeting, which will be held upstairs in O'Connells at 8.30pm on Tuesday 24 January (tomorrow), will also discuss a prioritisation plan for items raised at last year's public meeting with local political representatives.
A number of these items have already been dealt with, including the footpaths at Hillside and the new footpath to Lui na Greine.
A major cleanup of the town is to be undertaken in advance of the Spring Clean Week, and the regular Litter Picks will be resumed following the Christmas break.
The Committee will also discuss a range of current items, such as involving more people, getting clubs and associations involved in KCA activities, policy on bins and more.
Updates on the Valley Park and street signage will also be part of the meeting.
All interested in becoming part of the KCA/Tidy Towns work are welcome to the meetings.
