Parishioner robbed in church grounds
A parishioner arriving for mass in Kilcullen this evening was robbed as he left his car, writes Brian Byrne.
The Diary understands that the parishioner, who needs to use a stick when walking, had parked his car near the Parish Centre when he was approached by two youths and asked if he needed help.
They then stole his wallet and his car keys and ran away.
Nobody was hurt in the incident, which happened just before 6.30pm mass.
The Garda are anxious that anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour before or during the incident should get in touch with them.
CCTV coverage of the area is being examined.
