Inaugural GAA Road Race will be fun
Just a reminder about Sunday's inaugural Kilcullen GAA 5K Road Race, writes Brian Byrne.
The event is open to all runners, joggers and walkers, and could well become a January annual restorative event.
Under the direction of current local GAA chairman Albert Keenan, it is certainly going to be run effectively and efficiently, as well as being a great social occasion. Albert has been showing us all over the last few years that there’s no age limits to being fit and competitive.
The race will be chip timed and accurately measured, and there will be prizes in a wide range of categories for both genders and all age groups.
Entry is €12 online at popupraces.ie, or €15 on the day. The race will start from the Clubhouse at 11am on the morning, and further information is available from Albert Keenan on 087 2168045 or Ger Breen on 086 2412476.
