One Kilcullen estate seeks 30km/h limit

Laurel Wood in Kilcullen is the only local estate which has specifically asked to have 30km/h speed limits under by-laws proposed by Kildare County Council, writes Brian Byrne.

The estate is on a list of 19 published today from throughout the county by the Council.

Any person may submit observations, comments or objections to the Draft Bye-Laws until the closing date detailed below and any objections received shall be considered by the Council.

Objections must be in writing and addressed to Senior Executive Officer, Transportation and Public Safety, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare; or, e-mailed to roads@kildarecoco.ie and to arrive no later than 5pm on Monday, 14 November 2016, marked ‘Submission on Speed Limits in Housing Estates’.
