Lorna Weightman revisits CPC
We recently had the privilege of Lorna Weightman, a native of Kicullen, and a past pupil of CPC, revisiting the school, writes Maryclare McMahon.
Lorna is well known for her blog called Styleisle.ie. She also appears regularly on the TV programme Xpose talking about the latest fashion trends.
Lorna talked to the Transition year students about her time in CPC, her academic accomplishments and her struggles. It is not every day that a person so busy and successful will take timeout to share her story.
She talked about her anxiety and how she got help and totally changed her career for her wellbeing and health.
In this age of technology overload and all the usual stresses of school life, it was refreshing and heart warming to hear honesty and true sincerity.
A big thank you to Lorna and we look forward to hearing about her time in Africa where she is presently working as an Ambassador for Oxfam. She is working with African women in Tanzania who are innovators and working on making huge changes in their lives and the lives or others.
