The passing of Breeda Corry (née Gorman)
The Diary has learned with sadness of the death of Breeda Corry, née Gorman, of Weir Road, Tuam, Co Galway, late of Two Mile House, Co Kildare and, formerly, Killeen, Maganey, Co. Laois, on 11 September, 2016, aged 85.
Breeda worked for many years in The Hideout in Kilcullen, during the 1970s and afterwards.
Devoted and loving wife of the late Jimmy Corry, Breeda died peacefully in the excellent care of Greenpark Nursing Home, Tuam. Deeply regretted by Louis and Nora Brennan, their family, her nieces Anne, Theresa, Majella and Marie and nephew John, her sister-in-law Sile McMahon, many relatives and friends.
Breeda is reposing at Grogan’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Tuam, on Tuesday 13th from 6pm to 7.30pm. Removal on Wednesday morning 14th to Two Mile House Church, Co Kildare, for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
