Public WiFi to be considered for Kilcullen

The provision of free WiFi in Kilcullen Library is to be considered by Kildare County Council, writes Brian Byrne.

The Library is one of four in the Council’s network which may become part of the authority’s free public WiFi initiative, currently being piloted in Emily Square in Athy.

The others are Newbridge, Leixlip and Maynooth, as well as Naas Town Hall.

The Council says it will assess the situation once the Emily Square pilot period is completed.

There is currently WiFi available to Library members in Kilcullen, as well as a dedicated internet computer.
