Pieta House barbecue is sizzling

Well, it's getting towards dusk, and the Pieta House barbecue in O'Connells Bar is sizzling up, writes Brian Byrne.

There's a pig on the spit and burgers on the griddle, and the crowds are beginning to make their way in.

It's only a tenner if you didn't register and walk this morning, if you did that thing, you already qualify.

Music is tuning up. There are hours to go yet. And if it decides to rain, there's plenty of shelter in the upstairs lounge.

C'mon down. Everybody else is. Mairead, Jackie and Lorraine are in charge of the entry and the raffle tickets. The rest of the fun is up to yourself.
