Tidy Towns pushing on
Tidy Towns is in full swing with lots of cleaning and rubbish picking, writes Eoin Houlihan of Kilcullen Community Action. There was one particular rubbish black spot on Monday night at the back of the church carpark. It's a pity that people are doing this kind of dumping, it really doesn't take much to bring your rubbish with you and place in one of the many bins around the town.
If people are interested in helping out we meet every Monday night at 7.30 and Saturday morning at 10.30 at the Town Hall. You will be directed to what needs to be done. However, if you see any rubbish any time please consider picking it up and placing in the nearest bin.
The flowers are a welcome sight on the windows along main street. We would like to say a big thank you to those who have contributed to the boxes so far. Those still to contribute are asked to leave into Berney's Pharmacy or post with the envelope that was provided with the letter. There are also boxes for the flower collection in Burke's Pharmacy, Eurospar, Centra, Nolans and Berney's Pharmacy.
