Ivan Keatley is new Mayor of Kildare

Local Fine Gael councillor Ivan Keatley has been elected Mayor of Kildare, writes Brian Byrne.

He was elected this afternoon at the AGM of Kildare County Council.

He is pictured above with his extended family after the meeting.

We extend him our congratulations on behalf of the community he serves and his many friends.

Cllr Billy Hillis FG was elected Deputy Mayor.
