Boys U14 win Shield final

On Friday evening Kilcullen U14 boys took on Sallins in the Division 1 Shield final and won, writes Jim Buckley.

Kilcullen came out of the blocks quickly and some great scores from Finn Rooney Eoin Redmond Daragh Burke, plus two goals from Jack Broe and Adam Condron, put Kilcullen 2-6 to 0-2 up at half time.

The second half started well with a point from Nathan o Reilly, but Sallins got back into it with two penalties. However, a fantastic point from Finn Rooney saw Kilcullen close out a famous victory.
