Pieta House Dawn Walk through New Abbey

A reminder that this year's Dawn Walk in aid of Pieta House will take place on Saturday next, 9 July, writes Brian Byrne.

Once again it is being organised by Lorna Brophy and Richie Kelly, and will bring participants through New Abbey Stud.

Registration on the morning will be at 3.30am in The Square, Kilcullen, but for those who want to get the paperwork done earlier, there will be a Pre-Registration session between 5-8pm at the Walk HQ beside O'Connells Bar.

Music and a barbecue in O'Connells Bar will begin at 8pm. Admission to the Walk and to the session in O'Connells is €10 (those who pay for the Walk are already paid for the evening event).

Last year's Walk raised €7,200, which was presented to Marie Peelo of Pieta House (above). She said that figure would enable seven more people to avail of the service provided by the organisation.
