Joyce celebrations at Croi Anu Moone

A pre-Bloomsday double celebration of James Joyce will take place in Croi Anu Moone Creative Centre, writes Mary Pat Moloney.

The event at 8pm on Friday 10 June will feature 'Strolling through Ulysses', written and performed by Robert Gogan, takes us through the fun-filled story of Bloomsday 16th June 1904 — the iconic day on which James Joyce based his novel 'Ulysses'. Robert’s performance guides us through the curious events and quirky characters of the book in a humorous, entertaining and informative way. Bawdy, irreverent and great fun!

We also have Cathriona Ni Threasaigh, who first performed 'Molly Bloom' for President Higgins in Aras An Uachtarain on Bloomsday 2012, and in the Joyce Jower in Sandycove every year since.

This is the first time these performers have come together and we are very excited to have them share their wonderful work and passion for Joyce in this pre-Bloomsday celebration.

Tickets €15 on the door. Call 087 8381933 to reserve seats.
