Three job opportunities at Bridge Camphill
The Bridge Community is currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill two vacancies for House Coordinator.
There is one Part-time Post (Maternity Cover) & one Full-time Post.
A Social Care Worker is required to fill the above post to manage and support the smooth running of a household for adults with special needs and coworkers in an intentional community.
The ideal candidate will be able to lead a team of volunteers in creating a positive living experience and good atmosphere within the home, where the needs of residents can be met in a supportive way. To fill this post you will need experience of working with people with intellectual disability, in a person centered way. You will require a sound understanding of regulatory requirements; have skills to lead the safe support to residents. You will need to be committed to personal development and have excellent people management skills.
The post provides the opportunity to work as part of an established team, and access to collaborative and learning opportunities within a leading national organisation. The vacancies are for one fulltime post and one part-time post (part time post is for 26 Hours / Maternity Cover), which will include work at weekends and in the evenings. All appointments will be subject to Garda Vetting.
The community provides Residential Lifesharing Services, Day Opportunities and Support Services, Transition Training, Housing and Supported Living for a total of 28 people with special needs. Camphill is an organisation with a strong voluntary ethos and includes many voluntary and vocational coworkers some of whom also live in the community. The Bridge Community is located in the town of Kilcullen, Co. Kildare and prides itself on the integration and inclusion within the town and enjoys a strong relationship with the wider community.

The Bridge Community is looking for a Weaving & Craft Activity Coordinator in the role of a Special Needs Job Coach/Support Worker
We require a person with a passion for crafts, textiles and art, who ideally has experience in weaving, felting, sewing and other related skills.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in engendering enthusiasm in others in a teaching or workshop context and be able to include people with disabilities in a meaningful way.
Craft and artistic activities are part of a therapeutic approach to support people with special needs to engage in meaningful activities learn new skills and find their own contribution as a part of an intentional community. People with special needs as an integral part involved in the planning and running of this special venture.
If you are interested in supporting people with special needs and thrive on working in a job that requires many different skills this might be for you.
Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) works to create sustainable intentional communities where children and adults of all abilities, many with special needs, can live learn and work with others in healthy social relationships based on mutual care and respect.
