A Dun Ailinne Good Friday
Well, we had to wait until what's traditionally the gloomiest day in the Christian calendar, but this morning artist Noel Scullion's magic worked once again, writes Brian Byrne.
Though five days late from the Equinox, ould god Sol did his thing at Noel's Dun Ailinne spear monument at Nicholastown, starbursting through at 6.40am. (Official sunrise is 6.16am today, but it takes a little while to climb above the mountains.)
Let the light shine ... it was worth waking early every morning since last Saturday, just in case.
(For those of you unfamiliar with all this, it's explained in the series of posts here.)
