Kilcullen link to Sean Kelly cycling team

The newest recruit to the An Post-ChainReaction professional cycling team has a strong Kilcullen connection, writes Brian Byrne.

Angus Fyffe from Omagh in Co Tyrone is the son of Marella Byrne, the eldest daughter of the late Tommy and Carmel Byrne of Kilcullen. Currently studying for an engineering degree at the University of Ulster in Jordanstown, he has been a very successful member of his local Omagh Wheelers cycling club for a number of years.

The 21-year-old will join the Sean Kelly-owned team for the coming European road season when he finishes this year's exams in the early summer.
