Thanks for St Vincent's support
On behalf of Josie Connolly I want to thank you all for your very generous support of and assistance with the 7th annual charity walk and bucket collection in aid of Alzheimer Services at St Vincent’s Hospital Athy which took place on August 8th last, writes Helen Dreelan, Director of Nursing at St Vincent's.
To all of you who assisted/supported in so many ways including financial donations, assisting with the Saturday bucket collection, participation in the actual walk, provision of sponsorship cards, issuing of the garda permit, and publicity about the event we extend our sincere thanks and grateful appreciation.
I am delighted to report that the event raised €3,989 which is a magnificent achievement.
I want to pay a very special tribute to Josie Connolly. Without Josie’s vision, passion, commitment and generosity of spirit, this event would not take place. She is already planning for next year’s event ...
Pictured collecting earlier this month are Helen and Betty, and Josie and Nora.
