Register online for Murphy Surveys hospital charity cycle

A reminder that you can register online in advance to take part in the Murphy Surveys 50k cycle run in aid of Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin, writes Brian Byrne.

The event is on Saturday 25 July and the route from the company's head office at the Knockbounce Business Park will take participants around the Blessington Lakes and back.

It is being organised in association with Kilcullen Cycling Club. It will cater for cyclists of all levels.

Murphy Surveys is a family-run business and the care provided by Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin has touched the lives of the family and some members of staff. The funds raised will go to the hospital charity The Children’s Medical and Research Foundation (CMRF).

Donations and support make a difference to lives of patients, parents and hospital staff every day. From big renovation projects or builds to a small gift to a child on their birthday or even a visit from Santa at Christmas donors help to make a difference to everyone in Crumlin hospital. Current projects can be seen at www.cmrf.org.

Registration on the day will be at 9.30am, with start/finish times being 10am/1pm. Food and refreshments will be available back at the company's head office afterwards.

Those who have participated will be eligible for raffle prizes including dinner vouchers, theatre tickets, hotel stay, gym memberships, and more.

Registration is €20 and anyone who raises over €100 through sponsorship will receive a CMRF Cycle jersey. This sponsorship must be confirmed by 17 July.
