'Thank you' from the Bake Sale

We made €755 at the Bake Sale and Raffle yesterday, writes Maeve O'Reilly. Quite amazing as has it is only two weeks since it was just a thought in my head. The Community really came together and this is the outcome.

Eda is very well known and loved in the town so I knew people would get behind this idea, but I was overwhelmed at just how much they gave of their time and the wonderful baking that came flooding in on Friday and yesterday. Eda is very far away from her family in Malaysia and so it is so important for her to know that she is loved and supported by her community and 'family' here.

I got great help from a number of women in the town who advertised and got raffle prizes and sold on the day. It was a great turnout and the outcome is amazing on many levels.
