Tommy takes the Easter Monday title

It was a case of keeping it 'in the house' when Tommy Dignam, proprietor of The Spout, and the pub's barman Wayne Broughan faced off for the final of the Easter Monday Pool Tournament, writes Brian Byrne.

Tommy, pictured in red with Wayne in the bottom right picture, took the final honours, 3-0. At the rate he's going, he'll have to handicap himself in some way for future tournaments.

Meanwhile, there's a big night coming for the pub's Darts team on 21 April, when they'll be at Swifts in Newbridge to get their trophy for winning their Division A League against nine other pubs recently.

And they still have a chance of further honours, as tonight they play among the final eight of the whole 30-team League to stay in for the second-to-last round.

The finals of that will be played in Swifts on the 21st, before the presentation of prizes.
