Thanks for help with 'Grease'

CPC’s musical ‘Grease’ will take place on Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th March, nightly at 7.30pm in the school’s main hall, writes Phionagh Gibson. This is already a sold out event.

Auditions took place at the start of the school year and rehearsals began in October. The part of Sandy is being played by Rebecca Aspell and the part of Danny is being played by Daire Seery. The entire cast is made up of Transition Year students. The band and backing vocals are by students from 5th and 6th Years.

The musical could not happen without the support of local businesses and everyone here at Cross & Passion College are grateful to all the local businesses that have supported us.

Spot prizes for the raffle that will take place each night were kindly donated by Hair by Eilis, Frosty Moon Jewellery, Purity Belle, Shelly’s Barbers, Deasy Photographic, Happy Faces Face Painting, The Irish National Stud, Stonebrook Pet Farm, West Wicklow House, Lily O’ Brien’s, MusiCo, Newbridge Silverware, The Irish Fairy door Company, J & A Shabby Chic, Hazel Lawlor’s Hairstyles, Pixy Natural Skincare, Rosso Solini, The Steam Museum, Joe O’ Connor Engraving and Nichola Kennedy Optometrist.

Sponsors of the show itself include Drama Dynamics, Clare Print, Joe O’Connor Engraving, Centra, Healy Tyres & Service Centre, Fountain Takeaway, Les Petits Pets Boutique, Talented Kids, The River Café, Burkes Pharmacy, Berneys Chemist, The Cottonwood Tree, Appleton Property, Eurospar, Café Coulan, Steve’s Daybreak, Nolan’s Butchers, Groome Vets, Jam Music, Kilcullen Gospel Choir, Kilsaran Concrete, Carry Out and Brendan O’ Connell Insurance.

Well done to all the staff that have worked tirelessly on the show, especially its Director Susan Fox, the musical directors, Angie Lawrence and Lisa Rohan and the Choreographer, Cayisha Graham.

To all involved, thank you.
