Online registration for new PPNs

Voluntary organisations and groups are being invited to register with the new Public Participation Network, which in Kildare will replace the County Kildare Community & Voluntary Forum, writes Brian Byrne.

Membership is a way of local organisations being able to communicate with the local authority, and of being informed about matters of interest, including application for community type grants.

The PPN will also be a way for member groups to make submissions on local issues to the County Council. Through the PPN, people can also be elected onto decision-making bodies and structures such as the Local Community Development Committee or Strategic Policy Committees.

A new structure for online registration by local groups has now gone live, and any organisation can register by logging onto kildareppn.ie.

If your organisation or group doesn't have access to a computer, the system in Kilcullen Community Library is available during normal opening hours.
