'Home for Christmas' a sellout

The good news, for locally-founded charity Maintain Hope, is that tomorrow night's 'Home for Christmas' event in the Town Hall is sold out, writes Brian Byrne. The bad news, for those that didn't get tickets, is that the event is sold out ...

Anyway, for those who will get to attend, there will be music from Sean Leahy and friends, Leah O'Sullivan, the McMahon sisters, Dorly O'Sullivan and Gese Mucke, Francie O'Brien, Philomena Breslin and the Kilcullen Gospel Choir.

Some drama from Siobhan Murphy and John Martin, Bernard Berney and Dick Dunphy, and readings by Emmet O'Sullivan, and Charlie Talbot will all entertain hugely.

Another feast of Christmas cheer ...

In other news from recent fundraising events, some €4,000 was raised by donations to last weekend's 'Miscellany on Sunday' in Phena Bermingham's home, in aid of Fr John Bermingham's mission in Mozambique.

And the 'Relay for Life' Christmas Jumper Night in Joey's Hideout has now reached €775, thanks to the addition of €350 raised by Pat Goulding in his Movember sponsorship.
