Cancer society fundraising cheque to be presented

The funds raised by the recent series of events led by Jimmy Aspell in aid of the Irish Cancer Society have exceeded €5,000, writes Brian Byrne.

This brings to over €20,000 the total raised by Jimmy and his friends in The Spout, the music business, and St Bridget's Pitch & Putt Club.

A presentation to the ICS of a cheque for the most recent fundraising will be presented to a representative of the organisation next Saturday, October 11, in The Spout, at 8pm.
