Great music weekend upcoming

The organisers of the Music Under The Mountains festival in Hollywood, Co Wicklow this weekend have asked me to help get the word out about the super line-up of gigs, music sessions, masterclasses etc. that are on offer over the course of the weekend, writes Roy Thompson.

If you're anywhere within reach of Hollywood this weekend, do head along and catch some super live traditional/folk music.

My own favourite choice would be The Henry Girls on Sunday night, but take your pick from a great line-up, or buy a weekend wristband for €40 and gain entry to ALL the events.

Now, I've done my bit — its over to you, folks! Get along and support this great local music festival.

And, to wind down — come along to Mick Murphy's on Monday night for a super double bill — wonderful singer/songwriter (recorded by Janis Ian, Art Garfunkel, Garth Brooks, and many others) Buddy Mondlock, from the USA, (backed up by Mike Lindauer on Bass), and young banjo sensation Dan Walsh from the UK. I'll circulate more details on this in the next day or two.
