Festival Queen selection on Friday

The selection of Kilcullen's first River Festival Queen will take place on Friday evening at 6pm in Fallons, writes Brian Byrne.

A number of pubs, shops and local clubs are sending their own contenders to the event, to which everyone is invited. The selection of the Festival Queen will be followed by the official Sponsors launch for the Festival, which takes place on the weekend after next.

The Festival Queen will be crowned with a tiara sponsored by Newbridge Silver, and there's also a prize for the successful lady.
