Celia is KCA 'Council Champ'
Appreciation for the work of Celia Travers in her interactions with Kildare County Council on behalf of the community was recorded at the recent meeting of Kildare Community Action.
Chairman Niall McDonnell proposed a 'thank you' to her for 'persevering' with the local authority and having a number of issues dealt with.
The discussion focused on getting permission from the Council for KCA to paint the bollards in the town, which number 130. Possibilities of the type and amount of paint required were evaluated, and it was suggested that the cost might be in the region of €400.
The meeting also discussed fluorescent paint or 'collar' options for the bollard tops.
