Nicholastown prepares a big birthday

Kilcullen's oldest residential estate celebrates its 75th birthday this year, writes Ray Kelly. The Nicholastown Residents Association are busy getting the party planned and full details will be available soon.

The sod was turned on the estate in 1939 and the first residents moved in in early 1940 and many original families still live here.

All existing and past residents are being asked to take part and to participate in the celebrations — if you are interested let Ray Kelly know on 087 2636375 or let any of the existing residents know.

We are setting up a Facebook page for Residents and ex-Residents - like if you are active on Facebook: Nicholastown Residents.

We are also looking for old photos from the estate and would appreciate if they could be 'loaned' to the Estate for copying. Again let us know.
