Stray beagle found

A stray beagle was found two mornings ago near the entrance to Kilsarahan at Silliot Hill, writes Brian Byrne.

According to the finder, the dog is about a year old, with normal beagle brown and white markings, and looked well cared for. It had apparently been tied up somewhere as there was some mason's twine around its neck.

The finder has brought the dog to the Athy Veterinary Surgery, and it will be sent to the pound in two days' time. The contact number is 059 8631498 or email athyvets@eircom.net.
