Albert takes Leinster gold

Kilcullen's Albert Keenan today raced to glory in the Leinster road race championship in Gowran, Co Kilkenny. Albert ran a brilliant tactical 6k race in just over 25 minutes to claim the gold medal and O/65 title. The current Kildare county road, track and cross country champion transferred his brilliant form onto the Leinster stage to win gold.

Albert now moves onto track and field where he hopes to gain more success in the Leinsters in Tullamore in June. He's pictured today in Co Kilkenny with his son David.
