Hazel's on US radio shows all day

Local author Hazel Gaynor is on something of a high just now, writes Brian Byrne.

And deservedly so. Her book 'The Girl who Came Home' was released in the last two weeks in the US by publishing giant HarperCollins, and is already on the 'best pick' lists of major book sales outlets Costco and Target.

If you're trying to get hold of Hazel today and her phone is constantly busy, it's because she's doing a whole day of radio interviews about her book on stations all across the US. Nine of them today, from North Carolina to Arizona and a whole swathe of the Midwest. Tomorrow it's New England, and Monday in New York.

The book launches in the UK and Ireland next week, and in January her second book in the deal, 'Daughters of the Flowers', goes on sale.

There's a full interview with Hazel in today's Kildare Nationalist. The Diary's review of 'The Girl who Came Home' when it was first published on Amazon is here.
