'Words' launched by Camphill group

Over 70 people attended the launch of the book 'Words' in Artaban Community Hall in the Bridge Community on Monday last, writes John Martin.

The book is a compilation of stories, poems, memoir and visual representations developed by the Creative Writing Group as part of the Camphill Adult Education Programme.

The Group is led by Mary Berney, assisted by Eileen Doyle. Mary introduced the ten contributors and gave examples of the works contained in the book. John Martin explained the role played by the Publishing Group in the preparation of the book for publishing.

The book was launched by broadcaster and writer Mae Leonard who paid tribute to the imaginative and creative talents of the contributors.

Eimear Ryan replied on behalf of the authors and thanked everyone for attending the launch. 'Words' will be on sale in An Tearmann from Wednesday 12 March.
