Closing date for Cecil Day Lewis Awards looms

There's just a week left for entries to the Cecil Day Lewis Literary Awards, writes Brian Byrne.

The annual competition is organised by Athy Library, and involves a Short Story/Poetry Competition open to Primary school pupils and Short Story/Poetry/One Act Play competitions open to Secondary school students in County Kildare.

The closing date for entries is Tuesday 25 March 2014 and late entries will not be accepted after this date.

Notice of winners will be emailed/posted to schools on the week 28 April 2014, and the Cecil Day Lewis Literary Awards 2014 Awards Ceremony will be Thursday 8 May 2014.
