The passing of Robert Dunlop: funeral arrangements update

robtdunlop---20.jpg

The Diary has learned, with an exceptional sadness that will without doubt be reflected all across the wider community of Brannockstown and Kilcullen, of the death of Pastor Robert Dunlop.

He died at home, peacefully, with his wife Olive and daughter Julie by his side.

The funeral arrangements are as follows. A wake will be held today, Monday, at the family home, La Touche Cottage, from 3-7pm on Monday afternoon. The funeral service will take place at Kildare Cathedral on Tuesday 18 February at 2pm. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the World Vision or Barnabas funds.

May he rest in peace at the side of the God he most sincerely believed in and toiled for with love. To his family, especially Olive and Julie, his son Jeremy and grandchildren Kai and Robyn, and friends we extend our heartfelt condolences.

It seems an appropriate time to recall a special Service of Thanksgiving which was held in April 2007, when Pastor Dunlop was recovering from the effects of a serious illness he had suffered. A set of pictures from that event can be viewed here.
