A note from the Editor

The Diary is now at the beginning of its 10th year, and more than 6,000 posts have been published over that time, writes Brian Byrne. However, I was this morning taken to task by one local organisation because they weren't mentioned in the 'That was the 2013 that was' roundup of posts of that year.

Which prompts me to gently remind any organisation that wants its activities covered here to be sure that their PROs do their best to let me know what they are up to. In the case of this morning's letter, I think I possibly had one communication from them over the last four years.

The Diary is a voluntary activity that actually takes up quite a lot of my time. I'm happy to cover as much as I can, and I walk up and down the Main Street and further quite a lot in order to do that. But communication is a two-way street, so please try and meet me halfway.
