CU membership grows

Membership of Kilcullen Credit Union grew by almost 12 percent during the year ended 30 September, the recent AGM was told, writes Brian Byrne.

There are now 2,963 members, an increase of 311 since the previous year. Of those, 75 were Juveniles, 45 transferred from other Credit Unions, and there were 111 regular applications. There are 40 clubs and organisations in the membership.

The recent upgrading of the computer system allowed the Credit Union to issued 80 GR8 accounts from Brannockstown and Halverstown National Schools.

The new system also enabled an expansion of the Christmas Club.
