You can still vote for Conor McMahon!

Kilcullen musician and journalism student Conor McMahon has been shortlisted for Hot Press magazine’s The Write Touch internship competition. Voting has been extended until 11.59pm on Thursday night.

Conor has made the shortlist in the College Male category for his review of Hozier’s gig in the Unitarian Church, which was published on Campus.ie in September.

The DIT journalism student is in with a chance of winning an internship at Hot Press, plus a cash prize and mobile phone. The editor of Campus.ie, Conor worked during thus summer at the European Forum Alpbach, interviewing a number of filmmakers, artists, economists and politicians. He wrote a review of Hozier's recent EP launch.

This is not his first brush with the music and current affairs magazine. In 2012, he won the Hot Press Ink Aware competition in association with drinkaware.ie and was given the opportunity to review the Electric Picnic festival.
