Students raise €7,400 for Crumlin

The recent Wake-a-Thon organised by the CPC 3B class raised a total of €7,400.

The students ran the event as their CSPE project with Mr Dowd, and a cheque for the amount raised was handed over last week to Johan Fox from the Children's Medical Research centre at Crumlin.

The 'amazing' amount of money raised was quite possibly the highest from any school in the country for the cause, Johan Fix said. It will be used to buy much needed equipment at the hospital.

The fundraiser was supported by local firm Murphy Surveys who donated an iPad Mini as a raffle prize for students who had succeeded in raising €30 or more in sponsorship.
