Second in trilogy for local author

Another local writer has a book launch penned in for early December, writes Brian Byrne.

It's Sophie Rose Williamson, the fiction pen name of Valerie O'Brien, whose first book was based on her experiences as a soldier in the Irish Army.

Her latest, 'Gypsy', is the second in a trilogy. The first in the series, 'Here Come the Girls', was launched last February.

'Gypsy' will be launched in Cafe on Seine, Dublin, on 4 December.
