CKO to perform for Alzheimer's

The County Kildare Orchestra, in its 15th year, will play a special concert by candlelight — Christmas by Candlelight — in aid of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland in St David’s Church of Ireland, Main St, Naas on 14 December at 8pm.

In a very atmospheric venue and performing by candlelight this promises to be a real treat featuring Christmas classics old and new. CKO will be joined by Tenor Philip Scott and boy Soprano David O’Carroll who will sing together and separately with a beautiful version of the Christmas favourite 'Walking in the Air'. Other works by Borodin, Mendelssohn and a rendition of Christmas at the Movies all make for a great night’s entertainment.

Tickets cost €15 and proceeds will go to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. A cause close to the heart of some of the CKO players.
