Bad vandalism incident

Local gardai are investigating another nasty bit of vandalism which was perpetrated in the early hours of Saturday morning in the bridge area, writes Brian Byrne.

CCTV checks for vandalsIt involved the pulling down of one of the tall flower standards on the footpath edge, which was then left in a very dangerous position out across the road surface.

Two recycle bins were thrown over the bridge wall into the Camphill field, and a bin outside the Credit Union was overturned.

And in what seems to be a connected incident, one of the flowers boxes on a Main Street business premises was pulled down.

CCTV footage is being examined in the investigation.
