Matt home from Australia on visit

Back from Australia for a visit is Matt Hughes (second from the left), unexpectedly met up with at the Kildare Village yesterday.

Matt is staying with his brother Michael on this leg of the trip, prior to a visit to France next week.

He works with an Apple Computer reseller in Sydney, and says he checks in regularly to the Diary to keep in touch with where he was raised.

In a brief chat he recalled when he worked in The Hideout in the mid 1970s, when your editor was managing the pub.

Nice to see the wild geese coming back now and again.
